Bev is an Aussie who has lived in the UK for almost 2 decades. Co-Founder of Christian Growth International, Bev mentors and oversights leaders within and outside her network of churches. She speaks at conferences and churches internationally, is the author of 2 books and working on a few more.
A wife, mother, grandmother of nine, Bev lives with the passionate conviction that every culture has been seeded with Christians who are handpicked to take the Kingdom of Heaven into their sphere of influence; she wants to whatever it takes to help them complete their assignments.
My heroes are the people who don’t take no for an answer if it’s not God saying no. They’re the ones who are determined to make a difference to their world, leaving a legacy that lives on long after they’ve gone to be with Jesus; who stand against injustice and fight for the rights of those who cannot fight for themselves, the people who, when they die, others don’t cry but stand taller and say, ‘I’m going to take her place so that no vacuum is left because she’s gone’. Most of their names are unknown except in their own little corner, but God knows each one and applauds them every day.
I can do the splits (at 61 and a half years old)
That women across the world can live with dignity and self respect and be treated the same way by the societies they live in, and that gender will no longer be allowed to define what constitutes a leader, inside the Church or outside of it.
What Inspires me
People who are passionate about a cause and who are willing to give their lives to/for it.
Most Embarrassing moment
I’ve had a few, but as time’s gone on I’ve become more confident and I don’t really get embarrassed any more.
I just love books and I love being with people who write them. I’ve become a stronger, deeper, broader person because of the great books that have informed my life and values. Maybe my favourite book is the one I wrote last… whichever one that is.
