As well as being the Deputy Editor for Liberti, Chloe works in publishing and heads up content for Pursuit International, a charity dedicated to helping people to help themselves out of poverty, and connecting these “Pursuers” with their supporters in continuing and authentic relationships.
She also loves baking, Batman, Star Wars and basically any Disney movie ever made.
Jane Eyre (Charlotte Bronte) and Persuasion (Jane Austen) are constantly fighting it out in my heart.
Most embarrassing moment?
When I was five I kept hugging the other children when they didn’t want me to, and my teacher had to call my parents in to get me to stop. So my most embarrassing moment is either that, or the time my dad told this story in his speech at my wedding and then told James it was no bad thing that his new wife liked a bit of a cuddle!
What’s your biggest fear?
That people will discover I’m nowhere near as chilled out as I’d have them believe.
What’s your secret talent?
Both of my thumbs bend back at a 90-degree angle. I’m also weirdly good at decanting.
What inspires you?
Working with amazing people to change the world.
Who is your hero?
I’m extremely prone to hero-worship so the list is long, but my top three would be Emma Thompson, Charlotte Bronte and CS Lewis.
What’s your dream?
That in my lifetime people would look back at poverty, at inequality, at the way we treat our planet now and say “Really? That happened?” Failing that, I would like a pet tortoise and a reading nook, please.
